Jordan Ranson, LPC Associate
Hi! I’m Jordan, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Ellen Pace, LPC-S. I am passionate about helping teens and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, understanding, and practical support.
I grew up around horses, and from an early age, I experienced firsthand the calming and grounding effect they can have. As someone who has struggled with anxiety, working with horses became a meaningful part of my own healing. My personal experience is what led me to incorporate equine-assisted therapy into my work today - helping others find connection and emotional balance in ways that feel natural and empowering.
I use a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to each individual’s needs:
Attachment-Based Therapy: This approach focuses on how our early relationships and experiences shape the way we connect with others and view ourselves. By exploring these patterns, we can better understand current struggles in relationships, build healthier connections, and develop a stronger sense of security and self-worth.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that helps identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Together, we work to reframe negative thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful change in daily life.
Natural Lifemanship: I am level 2 trained in Natural Lifemanship, which is a trauma-informed, equine-assisted approach that emphasizes building safe, connected relationships. Rather than focusing on riding, this model uses interactions with horses to help clients develop regulation, trust, and connection.
